Comparison is the thief of joy.
I was drawn to TEE because of its focus on collaboration and finding people who genuinely work well together. I’ve always valued environments where I can connect with others, exchange ideas, and learn simply through conversation. After meeting with Scott and Jon during the interview process, I felt TEE was the right place to begin my career. I’m looking forward to getting to know the TEEm and collaborating on projects together.
What excites me about the MEP industry is knowing the work we design today can become part of infrastructure that people use for decades. I recently graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a degree in Electrical Engineering, where I focused on power and completed my senior project on wind power generation. Starting my full-time career at TEE as an Electrical Systems Designer is an accomplishment I’m already proud of, and I’m excited to take on the responsibility that comes with designing meaningful, lasting projects.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, playing video games, reading science fiction, and drawing. I especially enjoy observational drawings of landscapes and everyday objects. I’m also a fan of Shrek 2 and Pantheon, and Switzerland is at the top of my travel list. For something a little more adventurous, bungee jumping is definitely on my bucket list.
I believe taking breaks is an important part of staying productive — stepping away for a moment helps me decompress and come back with a clearer mind. I’m a coffee drinker, Team Cat, and if I could choose a superpower, I’d love to fly. KAYTRANADA is one of my favorite artists right now, and “Regardless” by Miraa May is a song that always gets me energized.
